Um dos sujeitos mais talentosos e tristes da história da música, Nick Drake será celebrado em um grande projeto que vai homenagear sua curta, porém elogiada e cultuada trajetória musical.
“The Endless Coloured Ways – The Songs of Nick Drake” vai percorrer a obra do cantor e compositor britânico, que morreu aos 20 e poucos anos com uma overdose de remédios que vinha tomando para tratar uma depressão profunda, isso lá no ano de 1974. Outsider, Drake passou a ser mais reconhecido décadas após a sua morte e virou uma espécie de herói indie cult.
Voltando ao projeto, vários nomes legais estão envolvidos, incluindo Self EsTeem, Feist, AURORA, Bombay Bicycle Club, Feist, John Parish e até o Fontaines DC, uma das maiores pequenas bandas da nova geração.
E é justamente a participação da banda irlandesa que acaba de ser divulgada, com a belíssima cover da canção “Cello Song”, faixa lançada originalmente no disco “Five Leaves Left”, em 1969. O projeto terá 25 canções no total e estará nas lojas dia 7 de julho como álbum duplo e distribuído em diversos formatos em CD e vinil.
